The Contra Costa County median home sale value in April 2009 was $225,500 – up 2.3 percent over March, but 43.0 since April 2008. Due to foreclosure-related short sales, in April Contra Costa County continued to post both the highest sales volume and the steepest annual decline in median sale prices throughout the Bay Area.
