We just listed a sweet house for sale in Richmond, CA North + East neighborhood!  This home has been owned by the same family for over 6 decades and is ready for its next owner’s to take over.

We were referred to the Black family by their former next door neighbor, whose house we sold the previous year.  Referrals are the heart of our business and it means that much more when they come from people who we have previously helped.  Thank you!

We first met with Mr. Black and his family in April 2018.  They were looking to get the house on the market as soon as possible, but there were some scheduling items to consider.  By the first week of June the house was vacant and we were allowed to go in and do our thing.

The first item on the list was clean up and paint.  The Seller worked very hard to get the house prepped and cleaned out so that by the time we came in it was ready.  Our painting crew is incredible and was able to quickly paint the interior within a week.  We also needed to do the exterior – the exterior hadn’t been painted in awhile so it required a good amount of scraping, patching and painting.

To save on cost we opted to keep the colors the same, but we warmed up the green.  We also eliminated a bunch of the green paint in the front and back.  A fresh coat of paint to the steps made everything look updated and finished.

Removing the chain link fences opened up the yard and gave it a large space for playing and entertaining.  Since the Seller had moved out the grass wasn’t getting watered as often – enter the neighbors, who have been in the neighborhood almost as long as the Black family.  This neighbor is now watering daily, and mowing weekly.  What a community!

When determining how to stage the inside we want to make sure and keep options open for all sorts of buyers.  Since kids were raised in this home it was important to us to have a kids room; take a look at this before and after.
