Ever wonder what to do with your kids’ old crib, the one that no longer meets the safety requirements and therefore shouldn’t be passed on? I had one of those. I decided to tear it apart and turn the pieces into something useful.
For this one I took the bottom of the crib, where the mattress sat, and took off all of the hardware. It was sanded, primed and painted with chalkboard paint – voila! Instant chalkboard.
Chalkboard art is all the rage right now. I took my new chalkboard and decked it out with some fancy writing – voila! Instant invitation into my open house for people walking by.
