Walking in my from the parking lot into my office one morning, I noticed that our 7 ft ladder was taped off with a note: “Mama bird nesting, please do not use ladder.”  I looked up and low and behold there was a beautiful mama morning dove sitting on a nest that she had made right on top of our ladder.

So no one can use our ladder until the mama bird is done nesting. Later I found that our office manager had put the note there. How sweet and thoughtful. Yea for good people who care about all the living things around us. Makes me glad to work here even if I can’t use the ladder.
