www.Cost2Drive.com is a website that allows users who are particularly worried (or just curious) about gas prices and what it will cost them to get from point A to point B. The site asks users where they are going and what car they drive, and calculates how much it will cost to get there, how long it will take, and how big the carbon footprint of their trip will be. For longer trips, the site also allows users to compare the costs of flying vs. driving- pretty cool! There are also some fun facts on the site, like what it would cost to drive from LA to NY in a Prius vs. a Hummer.
Rising gas prices have spurred homebuyers to look for homes that offer shorter commute times to work. This site is a great tool for homebuyers because it will allow buyers to enter the address of a particular house they may be writing an offer on and calculating how much it will cost them in gas to get to work.
