Two local shopping districts provide all of the resources one could need. On the Arlington you will find the Arlington Shops, including Young’s Market, ACE Hardware, and Arlington Wine & Spirits. Head down the hill and you will find Colusa Circle, where you will find a local vet, hair salon, photographer and market.
Try dining at the kid-friendly Kensington Circus Pub (be sure to try the bangers and mash at least once), fine dining at Post Meridian, or pick up a fresh loaf of bread from SemiFreddi’s. On the weekends be sure to check out the local Farmer’s Market.
Housing in Kensington consists of a fine mix of architectural styles, including Tudor, Mediterranean, and Contemporary. The city has its own recreation department, tennis court and library, and the local elementary schools has top test scores. Jr. and Sr. High Students attend El Cerrito schools.
