The following is a letter from our Seller about her experiences at the house and in the neighborhood.  How sweet is this!

Dear Prospective Buyer,
Thank you for considering my home! I have lived here for the past 3 years. Due to life changes, I decided to move elsewhere. This home was with the previous owner for two generations in his family. When I purchased the home, it needed a lot of love, which I gave it. A cozy home that provided my family with many good memories, this home has an open layout with space for privacy. The bedrooms are tucked away from street noise and the basement room was home to my daughter’s many art projects. The backyard is large yet manageable to maintain. My son marveled at the continuous waves of cherry tomatoes we grew in the sunny backyard.

I have been fortunate to live next to the Jalos Market for the past three years. Owned by generations of the same family, it did not take long for me to realize how much they care about this community. They know everyone in the neighborhood, and work hard to maintain their store and the area around it. This family warmly welcomed me to the neighborhood when I first moved in, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. I particularly appreciated their friendliness to my young kids and elderly dog. They are kind and considerate, whether it is letting me know when I left my car lights on, or helping to clean the sidewalk in front of the house. They take care of this community in a genuine and thoughtful manner.

This home is about a mile away from Farmer Joe’s grocery, in addition to numerous shops and restaurants in the Laurel district. The Fruitvale BART station and International Blvd is a 15-20 minute walk away, with AC transit lines very close by as well. Several neighbors have lived in this community for decades, know each other well, and have rich history about the neighborhood. The community around this home is a group of neighbors who genuinely care about their homes, each other, and Oakland. It is a racially and ethnically diverse neighborhood with a range of young people, working families, and older folks. I have loved living in this home and within this community. I hope the next owner enjoys it as much as I have.
